As in the last weeks there were some critical security issues were found as in the Linux kernel

• "Copy Fail" (CVE-2026-31431)
• "Dirty Frag" & "Fragnesia" (CVE-2026-43284, CVE-2026-46300)
• The Ptrace Logic Flaw (CVE-2026-46333)
• Procfs Use-After-Free (CVE-2026-46259)

as in the Android System itself:

• CVE-2026-0059
• CVE-2025-48595
• CVE-2025-65018

So I decided to update the (unofficial) Android Nougat releases for both Nexus 7 (2012) versions (Grouper and Tilapia). Fortunately the kernel of our Android Device is already so old that many of the security issues found do not apply but e.g. CVE-2026-46259 does. Also issues in the framework component and the bluetooth stack are fixed with Android (2026/06/05).
